This recommendation is sort of a way to buy used instead of new, although, as we’re talking about food, I don’t mean the food has been eaten.

This is a way to save food from being thrown away at restaurants and cafes. Food that hasn’t been sold.

It’s a way to rescue food so it doesn’t become food waste. Instead, you get the chance to buy food at the end of each businesses day.



And it’s super simple with the right app.

Restaurants, cafes, shops, and other food making businesses throw away a lot of food because it hasn’t been sold in time.

It’s a crying shame that ⅓ of all food is wasted!

So much waste when millions of people need food, and when the growing, transportation, and sale of food accounts for such a huge part of the climate crisis.

Introducing Too Good To Go

Too Good To Go is the food app that helps to save perfectly good food from being thrown in the bin.

You’ll find bakeries; supermarkets and convenience; restaurants, pubs, and takeaways; producers and wholesalers selling ‘magic bags’ through the app.

Businesses include some big names such as Accor Hotels, Morrisons, Yo!, Green King, Costa, and Pret.

The app has 15,000+ registered businesses offering ‘magic bags’.

Here’s how Too Good To Go app works:

  1. Use the app to search for businesses selling magic bags
  2. Pick the business you want to buy your magic bags
  3. You won’t know exactly what’ll be in the magic bag, but you get a good idea based on the sort of business that you chose.
  4. Every magic bag that you buy saves 2.5kg of CO2e – the same as would be produced by charging 320 smartphones!
  5. You get told what time you can collect
  6. That’s it

Food saved. You save money buying the food at a discount and the food doesn’t end up in the bin.

6.7 million people are already finding and stopping food from going to waste using the app.
